APPCNC & the South Carolina Campaign team up to present the Teen Outreach Program Training of Facilitators!

Do you work with youth for an entire school year or over multiple years?
Are you looking for a proven effective curriculum that incorporates more than just classroom sessions?
Then the Teen Outreach Program is for you!

TOP is a research proven curriculum that emphasizes service learning. The program aims to prevent teen pregnancy and help youth both remain and succeed in school. Based on the principles of youth development, the program is designed for youth ages 12-19. TOP is adaptable to a variety of settings and audiences. Potential sites include Freshman Academy, After School Programs, Service Learning Courses, Community Center Programs, Boys and Girls Clubs and many other youth serving organizations. Participants in the training will learn how to be effective, engaged facilitators for the TOP approach. TOP is much, much more than just a curriculum.

Training Objectives:
· Introduce participants to the TOP framework
· Give trainees knowledge of TOP and comfort with the format, content and style of the Changing Scenes Curriculum
· Help participants gain a working knowledge of the practical aspects of creating strong communities through a service learning program.

Intended Audience: CAPP, NMF, youth serving organizations, schools, and faith comunities
