The Golden LEAF Foundation, is opening its 2007 funding doors. From their website:
The Golden LEAF Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was created in 1999 to receive one-half of the funds coming to North Carolina from the master settlement agreement with cigarette manufacturers. In turn, the Foundation is helping North Carolinians make the transition from a tobacco-dependent economy through grants and investments that will positively affect the long-term economic advancement of the state. It gives priority in its grantmaking to tobacco-dependent and economically distressed counties. They're open to just about any proposal and would love to discuss your ideas before you submit a proposal. Their deadline is August 1st, so this is a time sensitive situation. If you're having trouble finding funding and live in a formerly tobacco rich area, this might be a great chance for you!
Good Luck!
